Elizabeth Buchman Boyer
Hi! I'm the Elizabeth behind EBJ. I haven't always made jewelry, but my love for the craft began in 2013 with my first metalsmithing class during college. I fell in love. However, my career path wound me through other fields before finding my way back to playing with metal in 2021. The creative strings in my heart were pulled towards the art of metalsmithing. Less than a year into taking classes and a lot of practice, I got a job as a jewelry maker at a small business in Cleveland, Ohio. There, I learned and grew in my craft until 2025, when I decided to start EBJ.
Now, I create jewelry for you by hand in my home studio in Peninsula, Ohio. It is just me (with some help from my lovely family) making unique pieces just for you.
Hand fabricated jewelry is not fast, not easy, and not perfect. And I prefer it that way. It requires patience, tough yet gentle hands, mistakes to learn from, and a lot of love. The slow and intentional art of forging, cutting, soldering, filing, sanding, and polishing is rewarding and it can be felt in each piece.
I follow feelings and inspiration over trends. Mass produced jewelry has become disposable, flawless, and unoriginal - what's the fun in that? Jewelry should carry our stories, be worn and loved, get a little dirty, and show off our unique and wild selves. I'd love to make something special for you. :)
